Charles Goodwin is a proud dad of three kids: Two energetic boys and a fearless little girl. He grew up in Las Vegas and spent three years living in China, where he learned to speak Mandarin Chinese. When he is not with his family, you will find him coaching his boys’ soccer teams, perfecting his barbecue, or unwinding with a good cigar.
Notable Cases
2025 – Nevada v. I.L. – Client had three prior armed robberies and was arrested for a fourth. Charles successfully argued for and obtained probation for him.
2025 – Nevada v. A.G. – Charles filed a suppression motion based on Rodriguez v. United States (2015) 575 U.S. 348 and won. He defended it on appeal.
2023 – Nevada v. M.P. – Charles filed a motion based on Doggett v. United States (1992) 505 U.S. 647, leading to a case dismissal.
2023 – Nevada v. A.P. – Not guilty verdict after jury trial.
2023 – Nevada v. A.G. – Charles had charges for first-degree kidnapping and robbery with deadly weapon with a violent habitual enhancement reduced to battery with substantial bodily harm and effective credit for time served.
